  Tom's has been around for ages still bearing that weather beaten signature red and yellow rectangular signage. The building itself can pass for a lawyers or insurance office, it doesn't seem to be the type for manufacturing purposes. There's not much to see here as white corrugated cardboard boxes with red printed logo adorned the front entrance. However, once you step foot inside, its a whole new experience. Older ladies working quietly inserting fortune slips in flats rounds and a slight of hand, a fortune cookie is born. You can get a bag of "messed ups" for $1.50 and it'll taste just as fresh just not in a form of fortune cookie, and no encoded message strips. There's no cashier register or receipt given. Everything is added in the head while change is handed back on in hand. Just a classic old school cookie factory no larger than your normal living room. This little gem is certainly worth a trek for when you in chinatown.
